## Summary

Stockton on Tees Borough Council is currently in the procurement stage for a Flexible Framework Agreement aimed at providing Home and Community based Short Breaks for Children and Young People with Disabilities. The procurement process, identified under the title "Flexible Framework Agreement for the provision of Home and Community based Short Breaks for Children and Young People with Disabilities," covers various services within the welfare category, with a focus on children and young people. Services will be delivered in the UKC11 region, with the tender ending on 2nd December 2024. The framework will include lots such as group provision, school holiday support, personal care, day opportunities for children aged 16+, intensive short breaks, and outreach services, each with an optional extension of 12 months. The open procedure is used, and the total framework value is estimated at £1,585,000.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in welfare services for children and young people with disabilities. Companies with experience in delivering diverse care packages, including group activities, personal care, and tailored support services, will find this framework particularly advantageous. SMEs are strongly positioned to benefit, providing they can demonstrate their capability and experience in line with the service specifications. With the flexibility to offer a comprehensive range of short break activities and support plans tailored to assessed needs, businesses can leverage this framework agreement to foster growth and expand their service offerings within the community.

## Notice

The Local Authority has a statutory duty to offer a wide range of short breaks services for children and young people with disabilities, in turn this will enhance their lives, encourage independence and support their families.
