## Summary

The Environment Agency, a national agency under Defra, is in the planning stage for its procurement process titled "Environment Agency Essential Site, Plant and Equipment Training". This tender falls under the "Specialist training services" category within the services industry, and aims to provide essential training to staff managing various Environment Agency assets, such as Chainsaw and Arboriculture, Confined Spaces, General Health and Safety, and more. An Early Engagement Event is scheduled on 10 December 2024 at 9:00 GMT to gather feedback from potential suppliers. Interested participants should register by 17:00 GMT on 20 November 2024. The formal call for tender is expected to be issued by 3 March 2025.

This tender presents vast opportunities for businesses specializing in professional training services. Companies with expertise in providing training for health and safety, heavy machinery, electrical maintenance (MEICA), and site management would be well-positioned to compete. Engaging in this procurement process could not only aid in business growth by securing government contracts but also promote lasting partnerships with the Environment Agency. The planned early engagement event allows businesses to shape the procurement process and adjust their offerings to better meet the agency's needs, providing a competitive edge once the tender is formally announced.
