## Summary

The Department for Business and Trade (DBT) is in the planning stage of a tender for the provision of technical inspection and testing services, specifically for fire doors and their components, in accordance with the General Public Safety Regulations 2005. This project, valued at £750,000, involves the testing of fire doors to verify their fire resistance performance. DBT is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) by 30th November 2024, via email to commercialbpo@businessandtrade.gov.uk. The procurement process aims to refine requirements based on market feedback and will include direct meetings with interested participants. Key dates to note include a future notice date on 20th January 2025.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in technical inspection, testing services, and consultancy within the safety and construction sectors. Companies with robust capabilities in fire safety testing and regulatory compliance will find this project particularly well-suited. Engaging in this procurement process can offer substantial business growth, given the project's scale and the DBT's role as a central purchasing body. Firms that can demonstrate innovative solutions and reliable testing methodologies stand to benefit from participation, potentially securing a long-term contract with a major governmental body.
