## Summary

Plymouth City Council is seeking bids for the project titled "LEVI Funded Electric Vehicle Charge Points & related Infrastructure" within the transport services industry category. The procurement process is in the tender stage, with the deadline for submission set for 27th January 2025. This initiative aims to install and manage electric vehicle charge points and related infrastructure across multiple locations within Plymouth, primarily to benefit residents who don't have access to off-street parking. The total contract value is £24.2 million, split into two lots: Lot A and Lot B, each valued at £12.1 million. Suppliers can bid for one or both lots, but the award will be restricted to a single lot per supplier. The project is funded by the Department for Transport's LEVI project and employs a concession approach for execution.

This tender creates substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in electric vehicle infrastructure, electrical installation, and related transport equipment. EV charging operators and companies experienced in public infrastructure deployment stand to benefit significantly by participating. The project is well-suited for businesses that can offer robust, scalable solutions for public EV charging needs and can manage long-term operations and maintenance, as the contract spans over several years. This tender also provides an avenue for suppliers to establish or strengthen their presence in the burgeoning electric vehicle market within the Plymouth region, aligning with broader sustainability and transport innovation goals.
