## Summary

The public procurement process for the "B923 (2025) High Voltage Equipment Painting and associated minor Fabrication Repairs" project was initiated by Northern Ireland Electricity Networks Limited. The procurement falls under the "Repair and maintenance services" category and is located in Northern Ireland. The process used a selective procurement method with a negotiated procedure and prior competition call. The framework agreement was established for services related to preparing and painting high voltage and non-electrical equipment, minor fabrication, and associated repairs. The agreement covered a five-year period with an optional three-year extension. This contract was awarded on 27th May 2025 to EMAS Protective Coatings, with a contract value of £3,150,000 GBP. The procurement stage is currently complete, having successfully transitioned from tender to award stage.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specializing in high voltage equipment painting and minor fabrication services, particularly those familiar with working around electrical infrastructures. Companies that provide repair and maintenance services within the UK, and have experience with framework agreements and subcontracting, would be well-suited to compete for similar future opportunities. The awarded contract values indicate that such projects can contribute significantly to business growth and expand a company’s portfolio in the maintenance of energy infrastructure. Additionally, as the framework allows for subcontracting of certain elements, SMEs and other businesses have pathways to collaborate and participate in future components of the agreement.
