## Summary

The public procurement process described pertains to the "CPU 5941 Planned Footpath & Cycleway Maintenance Framework," managed by Nottingham City Council. The procurement falls within the construction industry, focusing specifically on foundation and surface works for highways and roads. The framework will operate as an open procedure under works procurement and was completed as of 4th June 2025. The agreement, valued up to £20,000,000, will span four years, covering areas across the Nottingham City Council boundaries. This procurement initiative initially opened for tendering with a deadline extended from 23rd December 2024 to 8th January 2025.

This framework presents significant opportunities for businesses capable of delivering construction and maintenance services within the specified scope. With a focus on quality and price as award criteria, it is particularly suited for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) familiar with local government contracts and collaborative project environments. Successful businesses, like Danaher & Walsh Group Ltd, Trust Utility Management Ltd., and ST Construction (Nottingham) LTD, exemplify the potential for growth through involvement in this framework, as it requires contractors to engage and coordinate with council employees and other stakeholders effectively. Such engagements can enhance business reputation and lead to more opportunities in similar public procurement contracts.
