## Summary

Islington Council is inviting tenders for the "2324-0400 Housing Related Floating Support Service," focusing on the Health and Social Work Services industry in London (UKI region). The procurement process, currently at the tender stage, aims to award a contract by November 2024, with a submission deadline of 12th December 2024. This service is essential in preventing homelessness, offering support to residents at risk of losing tenancies and aiding hospital discharges back to independent accommodation. The contract's initial term is nine months starting from 1st July 2025, with an optional twelve-month extension based on performance and funding availability.

The tender represents a significant opportunity for businesses providing health and social work services, particularly those specialising in homelessness prevention, multi-disciplinary support, and mental health services. Companies that can deliver high-quality, cost-effective services focused on early intervention, capacity building, and community engagement are well-suited to compete. The procurement method is an open procedure, welcoming electronic submissions, with clear criteria that allocate 60% to quality and 40% to cost. Participating in this bid can enhance a business's portfolio and strengthen its presence in the public sector market.

## Notice

The Service plays an essential role in preventing homelessness in Islington. Through a range of multi-disciplinary and strength-based interventions, the floating support offer is targeted at residents who are most at risk of losing their tenancies, with issues being resolved and support ending within 12 months. The hospital discharge element of the Service will deliver practical support to enable people to be discharged from hospital back to their independent accommodation. The Service will also include support for people under multi-agency public protection arrangements (MAPPA) and people with mental health support needs who have come into contact with the criminal justice system with a focus on housing. This contract does not include a 'Housing First' offer.
