## Summary

Translink, the public transport provider in Northern Ireland, has established a framework named "Framework 114 Infrastructure Support" focusing on the civil engineering sector. The procurement seeks to appoint eight suppliers to support Translink's capital and maintenance works programme. The framework includes roles for two primary suppliers, four secondary suppliers, and two on a reserve list for various infrastructure support works such as construction, refurbishment, and maintenance projects related to rail and bus services. This selective procurement process, employing a negotiated procedure with a prior competition call, has recently moved from the tender stage to contract award, with a significant procurement milestone having been completed on 28th May 2026. All project activities will take place within Northern Ireland.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for business growth for companies specialising in construction and engineering services, particularly those experienced in large-scale infrastructure projects. Enterprises well-versed in railway and urban transportation infrastructure projects are highly encouraged to engage, especially as the awarded contracts span comprehensive work types, from new builds to refurbishments. The framework is strategically designed to accommodate a variety of suppliers, offering a competitive landscape that values both technical expertise and commercial viability, as defined by the award criteria prioritising quality and cost. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and large corporations alike stand to benefit from participation, promoting dynamic collaboration and skill application across Northern Ireland's essential public transport networks.
