## Summary

The Common Services Agency, also known as NHS National Services Scotland (NSS), has initiated a public procurement process under the title "NP68424 Interventional Radiology." This tender falls within the medical consumables category and is located in the UK (region UKM). The procurement stage is active and involves the supply and delivery of a broad range of Interventional Radiology products such as Balloons, Stents, Drains, and various kits and accessories. This is a multi-supplier unranked framework agreement with a potential total value of £46.5 million. The framework is extensive, covering a duration of up to five years (3 years plus two 12-month extensions), with a contract period of 1080 days, requiring submissions by 16th December 2024. The open procedure method is used for this procurement, and it includes 18 different lots, each with specific product requirements and evaluation criteria, primarily focusing on quality (training and support, and sustainability) and price.

This tender provides substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in medical consumables, particularly those supplying Interventional Radiology products. Due to the framework's multi-lot structure, both large and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can participate, with a considerable emphasis on quality and cost-effectiveness. Suppliers are required to deliver products to multiple locations across Scotland, enhancing their market reach and contributing to the critical healthcare sector. The detailed evaluation criteria ensure that businesses with robust training and support systems, as well as sustainable practices, will be well-positioned to compete. Engaging in this framework could lead to long-term partnerships with NHS Scotland and a stable stream of revenue over the contract's lifespan, promoting growth and stability for the businesses involved.
