## Summary

The Business Services Organisation (BSO), Procurement and Logistics Service (PaLS), on behalf of the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust (BHSCT), has issued a Prior Information Notice (PIN) for the procurement of a Next Generation Sequencing Solution. This procurement falls under the category of Medical Equipment, Pharmaceuticals, and Personal Care Products (CPV code 33000000) and is currently in the planning stage as of 14th November 2024. The initiative aims to support the Regional Molecular Diagnostics Service (RMDS) based in Belfast, Northern Ireland, with relevant procurement activities scheduled to take place in early 2025. Key deadlines include the submission of the Declaration of Interest forms by 28th November 2024 and 19th December 2024, with site visits arranged for the week commencing 9th December 2024. Product awareness sessions will be held on 15th and 17th January 2025 at Belfast City Hospital.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in next-generation sequencing technologies, medical diagnostics, and laboratory equipment. Suppliers with capabilities in genetics, haematology, microbiology, and immunogenetics will find this project particularly well-aligned with their expertise. The procurement process encourages innovation, and participating organisations will benefit from direct engagement with the BHSCT, offering a chance to understand the specific requirements and constraints of the project. This is an excellent opportunity for firms to demonstrate their solutions, gain insights into market readiness, and potentially secure a key role in enhancing diagnostic services in Northern Ireland. Interested companies should act promptly to register their interest and prepare for the January 2025 engagement sessions.
