## Summary

North Northamptonshire Council has successfully completed the procurement process for the provision of electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and associated services across the council area. The project, conducted under The Concession Contracts Regulations 2016, was executed through an open procedure. The procurement involved extensive details for designing, planning, constructing, installing, operating, and maintaining a smart EV charging network. This is part of a 15-year concession contract with an option to extend for an additional year, spanning a total of 192 months. The contract was awarded on 9th June 2025 to CONNECTED KERB LIMITED, with an initial LEVI funding capital investment of £2,895,000, potentially increasing to £5,000,000 based on available additional funding. The procurement category is services, specifically detailed under CPV classification "Installation services of electrical and mechanical equipment," and it targets electric vehicle infrastructure in areas like UKF25, including towns and villages lacking off-street parking and council-owned car parks.

This tender opens significant opportunities for companies specialising in EV infrastructure, offering a route to substantial business growth through long-term collaboration with regional authorities. Ideal candidates include firms experienced in smart technology integration for EV solutions, capable of delivering comprehensive on-street and car park charging installations. These businesses would benefit from the project's revenue-sharing commercial model, designed to not only deliver value for money but also incentivize sustained private sector investment and sustainability. Companies involved in electrical installation, equipment manufacturing, renewable energy distribution, and maintenance services would find this project aligns well with their expertise.
