## Summary

Bolton Council has completed the procurement process for 'Home and Community Based Support' services within the health and social work services category. These services, classified under CPV code 85000000, aim to provide support for adults over 18 with diverse conditions. The procurement falls under a limited method with a direct award to nine incumbent providers for a period from 1st December 2024 to 2nd February 2025. This decision ensures continuity of services while the Council finalises the evaluation of a new tender. The procurement includes two lots: Lot 1 for adults with physical disabilities and mental health issues, and Lot 2 for adults with functional mental illnesses and learning disabilities, both serviced in the UKD3 region.

This tender offers growth opportunities for businesses specialising in health and social care services, particularly those with experience in providing personalised support for individuals with diverse and complex needs. The chosen suppliers, including Guardian Homecare UK Ltd, HomeCare for You Ltd, and several others, reflect a demand for quality and social value-oriented services. Companies with expertise in supporting adults with mental and physical health conditions as well as community-based support skills have the potential to collaborate with local authorities like Bolton Council to expand their service offerings and reach a broader client base. This procurement process illustrates the importance of continuity and reliable quality in public service provision, presenting a significant opportunity for businesses in the health and social care sectors.
