## Summary

The Centre for Process Innovation (CPI) has conducted a procurement process titled "Materials Handling Equipment Framework," classified under the industry category for Forklift trucks (CPV 42415110). The process aimed to establish a framework agreement for leasing materials handling equipment to support operational needs across CPI's facilities in the United Kingdom, specifically targeting regions like North East England and Glasgow, Scotland. The procurement, conducted as an open procedure, involved a single supplier framework for short-term hires and long-term leases, with contracts signed in August 2025. The initial tender phase concluded in January 2025, and the award stage has now been completed successfully with contracts actively awarded to LOGISNEXT UK LIMITED.

This procurement offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in logistics and materials handling solutions, particularly those adept in providing high-quality, cost-effective forklift equipment and related services. Businesses that can deliver on safety and operational enhancements, such as forklift scales, will find this tender particularly fitting. Additionally, companies that can efficiently manage short-term hiring services tailored to specific regional needs, such as the CPI sites in North East England and Glasgow, will be well-positioned to leverage and thrive from this framework agreement. Participation in such frameworks could extend visibility and establish long-term partnerships with public sector bodies like the CPI.
