## Summary

Thames Water Utilities Limited is inviting tenders for a large-scale Mains Rehabilitation project focused on the construction industry. Situated in the Thames Water region, including areas in UKI and UKJ, the project encompasses a variety of construction works such as the installation of a new chemical storage and dosing system, aeration lanes, and tertiary solids removal facilities. The most recent updates to the project include the cancellation of Lot 2 due to insufficient candidates and the optimization of distribution water mains. The procurement method is a selective, negotiated procedure with a prior call for competition, and the tender submission deadline is 14 January 2025.

This tender provides significant business growth opportunities for construction companies specializing in water treatment and infrastructure projects. Companies with expertise in designing and building water distribution systems, including structural replacements and installation of water-related apparatus, would be well-suited to compete. With an estimated total value of £440 million and a potential contract duration of up to eight years, suppliers could secure a long-term partnership with Thames Water, thereby stabilizing revenue streams and fostering growth.
