## Summary

The Ministry of Defence (MOD) is initiating a procurement process for "The Provision of MOD Medals, Awards and Associated Items." This public procurement falls under the category of goods, specifically medals (CPV Code: 18512200). It is currently in the planning stage, with an Early Market Engagement Event scheduled for 16 January 2025 at Imjin Barracks, Gloucester. Interested parties must confirm their attendance by 14:00 on 9 January 2025. The MOD is seeking insights from potential suppliers to refine its procurement strategy, including whether the requirement will be divided into lots. This engagement aims to gather industry views and assess interest in manufacturing and providing various medals and associated items, with a contract valued at up to GBP 15,000,000.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specializing in manufacturing medals, awards, and related items. Suppliers with capabilities in producing both current and historical medals, decorations, gallantry awards, and assorted service awards will find this tender particularly relevant. Additionally, companies offering supporting services like medal mounting, ribbon provision, and presentation cases can benefit. The engagement process allows businesses to influence how the requirement is structured, potentially securing long-term contracts with the MOD. This is a unique chance to collaborate with a high-profile government department and contribute to the recognition of military and civilian service, making it ideal for established suppliers in the defence and ceremonial industry.
