## Summary

The Ministry of Defence (MOD), headquartered at Abbey Wood, Bristol, is in the planning stage of a significant procurement process aimed at acquiring and supporting a deep-water work class Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) system and its ancillary support equipment. This procurement falls under the subsea equipment category and is designated with the CPV code 43135000. The engagement process involves face-to-face meetings with interested companies at the MOD starting 13 January 2025, with responses to the Prior Information Notice (PIN) required by 16 December 2024. The MOD plans to issue the official contract notice in the financial year 2025/2026, with the contract award anticipated in 2026/2027, contingent upon financial approval.

This tender offers substantial growth opportunities for businesses specialising in subsea equipment, particularly those capable of delivering advanced ROV systems and related support services. Ideal candidates would be UK prime contractors with expertise in underwater vehicle engineering and capability packages, inclusive of training and in-service support. Additionally, the requirement for the system to be road-transportable enhances the flexibility and deployment efficiency, providing niche opportunities for logistics and transport firms within the defence sector. Engaging in this procurement process could lead to significant business development and long-term collaboration with the Ministry of Defence.
