## Summary

Portsmouth City Council has completed a procurement process for the project titled "BSIP 42 - Key Bus stops CCTV," targeting the goods industry category with a focus on closed-circuit television cameras. This procurement involves the deployment of 40 sim card-enabled Pan-Tilt-Zoom cameras across designated bus stops in Portsmouth, aiming to enhance passenger safety. The tender process was conducted through an open procedure, with key stages completed between December 2024 and January 2025. This tender represents a significant business opportunity, particularly for companies specialising in security and surveillance technology, telecommunications, or infrastructure development. With the council emphasising quality and cost efficiency, businesses equipped with innovative security solutions and the capability to provide robust digital integration will find this opportunity particularly beneficial. The nature of this project underscores a long-term investment in public safety infrastructure, presenting opportunities for suppliers to expand their portfolios within the public sector. As the city seeks to enhance its transportation safety measures, suppliers can offer complementary solutions, such as maintenance or further technological integrations, ensuring ongoing engagement with Portsmouth City Council for future developments.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

The provision of these cameras will provide real-time and historical viewing capabilities, enhancing the safety of passengers at busy locations, including the newly implemented super stops. The cameras are designed to be easily deployable, allowing them to be moved as needed to different locations. They will be fully integrated with the existing PCC CCTV system, ensuring seamless monitoring and enhancing overall safety and security in these areas. The project aims to improve safety at busy bus stops, making them more secure for passengers and encouraging greater access to public transportation. By equipping high-traffic stops with these advanced cameras, we can deter potential safety issues and respond to incidents more effectively. The cameras will contribute to safer and more accessible public transportation, aligning with the broader goal of improving the city's bus services under the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP). Installation of the cameras will be undertaken internally by the Council.

Options: Portsmouth City Council reserves the right to purchase additional cameras to the same specification as required. If this option is taken up the value of the contract will increase accordingly.
