## Summary

Trydan Gwyrdd Cymru is seeking to enhance its community and stakeholder engagement across five significant onshore wind energy projects in Wales, with the procurement process now at the award stage. The contract, titled "Trydan Community and Stakeholder Engagement Support," focuses on public relations services within the environmental sector. The engagement covers projects located in Carmarthenshire, Denbighshire/Conwy, Rhondda Cynon Taf, and Neath Port Talbot, with a total estimated three-year contract value of £990,000. With contracts already awarded in April 2025, this procurement process was conducted using an open procedure, adhering to European Union procurement laws, and the initial tender was issued on the 23rd of January, 2025.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in public relations, communication strategies, and community engagement services to expand their portfolios and gain experience in the renewable energy sector. The awarded lots signal a growing demand for expertise in stakeholder engagement, particularly for businesses that can navigate the complexities of local and Wales-wide interests. SMEs like CADNO COMMUNICATIONS LIMITED, Outwrite Public Relations Ltd, and GRASSHOPPER COMMUNICATIONS LTD are examples of firms successfully engaging with and executing projects of this scale, emphasising the potential for similar-sized enterprises to establish strong footholds in this field.
