## Summary

The procurement process, initiated by NHS South West London Integrated Care Board, involves the provision of essential acute services for patients in the healthcare sector, specifically classified under "Hospital and related services." The procurement activity is located in London, United Kingdom, addressing the needs of NHS South West London and associated care boards, including NHS Frimley, NHS North West London, NHS South East London, NHS Surrey Heartlands, NHS Sussex, and NHS England. The procurement process has reached the award stage, with the contract confirmed under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) and a total lifetime value of £821,802,000. The contract's effective start date is set for 1st April 2024, running until 31st March 2027. Amendments were made to the original contract value, but not to the term or nature of services, with the contract's new value at £898,525,000, effective from 1st April 2024.

This tender offers significant opportunities for growth to large-scale healthcare providers, especially those with existing capabilities in acute service delivery. The procurement method was limited, involving a direct award process due to the lack of realistic alternative providers, highlighting an opportunity mainly suitable for entities with established healthcare infrastructure and experience in the region. Epsom and St Helier University Hospital Trust has been awarded the contract, reinforcing the importance of competitive advantages such as experience, scale, and existing regional operations to secure similar future tender opportunities.
