These will primarily be installed at new or previously unmetered properties. In addition to this we will be undertaking maintenance and replacement of existing boundary box installations. The Boundary boxes will be required to provide the following specifications: *Boundary boxes must be Reg31 compliant (Regulation 31 of The Water Supply (Water Quality) Regulations 2016 (as amended) *Boundary boxes will ideally be a sealed unit adjustable and telescopic to adjust to different depths of meter installations, though other solutions will be considered. *The box will also ideally cater for shallow installations as well as installation in contaminated ground. Boundary Box Unit The Boundary box: Will ideally provide 25mm push-fit fittings within the boundary box. Boundary Box Lid: We wish to assess different lid constructs due to our deployment of smart metering and communication requirements. This will be a key consideration to Portsmouth Water in the selection of lid materials.
