## Summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is overseeing the procurement process for the "Community Link Workers - Inverclyde" contract, which falls under the category of Community Health Services. This tender relates to the appointment of CVS Inverclyde to continue delivering the Community Links Officer service within GP practices in Inverclyde. The process is in the award stage as of January 2025, with the contract being signed on 4th November 2024. The procurement method was limited and did not involve prior publication of a call for competition. The contract duration is between 12 to 24 months, allowing time for a comprehensive review of social prescribing services in Inverclyde.

This procurement offers significant opportunities for businesses involved in community health services, particularly those specialising in social prescribing or working closely with GP practices. As the programme's continuation is aimed at aligning it with broader local health initiatives, businesses experienced in delivering integrated health services would find this tender ideal. The contract's short-term nature allows the winning bidder to position themselves for future opportunities as NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde finalises its long-term strategy for social prescribing in the area. SMEs in the health services sector could leverage such contracts to develop collaborative projects and expand their service offerings.

### Lot Information

Lot 1

Inverclyde Health & Social Care Partnership is appointing a supplier to deliver continuation of the Community Links Officer service within GP practices in Inverclyde. Additional information: The award is being made to cover a short term of minimum 12, maximum 24 months. During this time a review of all social prescribing services in Inverclyde is being carried out. The incumbent supplier will continue to deliver the programme during the time of this review. This short term award will allow this contact to be aligned with other services

### Procurement Information

An external company is evaluating the Community Link Worker service in its current form. A separate evaluation exercise is underway including a scoping exercise of the landscape of Social Prescribing models across Inverclyde. This will provide an overview of gaps in the locality and opportunities for bridging of Social Prescribing models. To allow this evaluation to be fully scoped we will make a direct award to the current provider from period 1st April 2025 - 31st March 2026 with the option of a plus one year. This would bring this CLW contract in line with other Social Prescribing contract end dates. It would also allow the evaluation outcomes to be reviewed, identified gaps analysed and proposals formed around a Social Prescribing model that encompasses multiple Social Prescribing Contracts. It would also allow sufficient time to onward scope an innovative Social Prescribing Hub fit for the future and one that best serves our community.
