## Summary

The UK Ministry of Defence (MOD) has awarded a multi-supplier Framework Agreement for the procurement of Electro-Magnetic Counter Small Uncrewed Air Systems Detection and/or Defeat (EMDaD) and associated systems under the title “PROCUREMENT OF ELECTRO-MAGNETIC COUNTER SMALL UNCREWED AIR SYSTEMS DEFEAT AND/OR DETECT (EMDAD) (AND ASSOCIATED SYSTEMS)”. This contract, classified under the CPV category of Electronic warfare systems and countermeasures, covers the entire UK region. It falls under the 'Award' stage of the procurement process and was officially signed on 8th November 2024. The framework, valued at up to £38.75 million excluding VAT, stretches over a period of 7 years, involving multiple suppliers to deliver the required goods. Suppliers involved include well-known entities such as BT PLC, Bornea (UK) Limited, and Thales UK Limited, among others.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses operating within the electronic warfare systems and countermeasures sector. Companies with expertise in the creation and supply of advanced detection and defeat technologies for uncrewed air systems are particularly well-suited to compete in this framework. The procurement method adopted is 'selective', ensuring that only qualified suppliers with the capability to meet the Ministry of Defence’s rigorous standards are engaged. Additionally, the framework contract offers promising growth potentials through the continuous demand for high-performance systems and associated equipment for Tests and Trials, fostering long-term collaborations and innovation within the defence industry.
