## Summary

The Barbican Centre, representing the City of London Corporation, has concluded a comprehensive procurement process aimed at securing a multi-supplier Framework Agreement for art transportation services. This agreement spans across different global regions and involves four lots, with services covering the UK, Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and worldwide. The initiative is categorised under cargo handling and storage services, aligning with CPV code 63100000. This procurement, finalised under an open procedure, encapsulates services extending from the packaging and transport of fine art to project management and technical advice. The framework commenced following the award on 21 July 2025 and is set for a duration of four years, with active contracts established and seven suppliers appointed across the lots.

This procurement presents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for entities operating in transportation, logistics, and technical consultancy for art and exhibition services. The non-exclusive nature of the framework means a variety of suppliers can engage in lucrative projects involving niche art handling logistics across diverse geographic regions. Companies with expertise in multi-modal transport solutions, including air, sea, and road, and those capable of offering specialist project management skills in art logistics would be well-suited to participate. With the estimated annual value reaching GBP 950,000 and potential collaborations with various City of London Corporation departments, businesses can leverage this framework to expand their client base and secure substantial projects over its four-year term.
