## Summary

The Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA) has awarded a contract to NSL Limited for the provision of enforcement services across the UK. The project focuses primarily on parking enforcement services, with additional tasks such as vehicle towing-away, immobilisation, removal, storage, and disposal of untaxed or SORN-breached vehicles. The contract, identified as PS 24 88, commences on 1st February 2026 for a duration of 9 months, with an option for a 3-month extension. This contract was awarded through a limited procurement method due to the absence of competition and extreme urgency brought by unforeseen events, in accordance with The Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Key dates include the conclusion of the standstill period on 13 January 2025 and the contract signing date of 11 February 2025.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in vehicle enforcement services to secure a contract with a national authority like the DVLA. Companies capable of providing comprehensive enforcement solutions, including the ability to implement Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) technology, will find this contract particularly suited to their expertise. The continuity of service requirement and the need for an innovative approach to maintaining high compliance rates for Vehicle Excise Duty collection suggest that businesses with a focus on compliance and technical capabilities are well-positioned to benefit from this contract.
