## Summary

NHS Humber & North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) has recently completed the procurement process for the Acute Respiratory Hub, a project aimed at providing timely and appropriate care to patients with acute, episodic respiratory conditions. This initiative falls under the industry category of medical practice services and is crucial in mitigating pressure on healthcare systems during the winter months. The contract was awarded on 20 December 2024, with the service term running from 8 January 2025 to 31 March 2025. The contract value approximates £40,000. The location for this procurement is in the UKE12 region. The procurement followed a direct award process under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, which supersedes the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 for this award.

The Acute Respiratory Hub contract presents substantial opportunities for business growth within the healthcare sector, particularly for medical service providers capable of delivering high-quality and innovative care solutions. This tender is especially well-suited to businesses that prioritise integration, collaboration, service sustainability, and social value, while also focusing on reducing health inequalities and improving access to services. Given the critical nature of the service during peak winter periods, businesses with experience in managing acute healthcare services efficiently will find this tender beneficial to their portfolio, fostering their reputation and aiding expansion within the public healthcare system.
