## Summary

Dorset Council has completed a procurement process for "Inpatient Detoxification and Residential Rehabilitation Services" under the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023. The procurement, conducted through Direct Award Process B, falls under the Health and Social Work Services category (CPV 85000000) and covers the UKK25 region. The process aims to provide unrestricted patient choice for these essential services. Contracts will be awarded continuously over a period of 5 years and 3 months, with a provision for extension up to an additional 3 years, potentially totaling up to 8 years and 3 months. The procurement was negotiated without the publication of a contract notice, and 29 contracts were awarded as of the 24th of December 2024.

This tender offers substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in health and social care services, particularly those focused on inpatient detoxification and residential rehabilitation. Eligible providers within these domains can benefit from long-term contracts and the flexibility of varied start dates. As there is no restriction on the number of contracts awarded, numerous small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have a fair chance to compete and secure a position in delivering these critical services. This continuous process period allows for sustained business growth and the potential for long-standing partnerships with Dorset Council.
