## Summary

Cambrian Learning Trust has recently completed the procurement process for the provision of full daily catering and cleaning services across its institutions located in the UKJ14 region. The process was conducted under a restricted procedure to ensure an optimal selection of service providers, focusing on quality and cost-effectiveness. The tender, initiated on 6th January 2025, with the invitation to tender starting from 18th March 2025, was completed with contracts signed by 30th June 2025. The catering services, which included meal provisions for both Primary and Secondary school settings, have been awarded to Cater Link Limited and Dolce Ltd, while YBC Cleaning Services Limited was entrusted with the cleaning services. The contracts, valued at approximately £5.6 million, £8.2 million, and £2.8 million respectively, commence on 1st September 2025 and are set for an initial term of three years, extendable by two further twelve-month periods.

This procurement activity offers significant opportunities for businesses specialising in school catering and cleaning services. Medium-sized enterprises that can demonstrate a commitment to quality and innovation in service delivery are particularly well-suited to engage with such contracts. With the Trust's emphasis on introducing novel menu ideas and modernising services, catering companies with a focus on nutrition and creative meal planning stand to gain by partnering. Similarly, cleaning services that employ eco-friendly practices and can efficiently manage both regular and periodic cleaning demands can benefit. The process accommodates various business scales, encouraging competition that can foster improved services and growth potential within the educational sector. Businesses looking to expand their portfolio in public sector contracts, particularly within the educational institutions, will find this project a fitting avenue for growth.
