## Summary

The NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership initiated a procurement process under the open procedure for a "Loyalty Award Scheme," targeting the industry category of customer-loyalty programmes (CPV code 79342321). The process, aimed at engaging a supplier for providing gift cards/vouchers to reward long-serving staff of the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board, unfortunately, concluded unsuccessfully. The primary location for this procurement was Cardiff and the Vale UHB, and the tender was tagged with key dates including the notice date of 7th January 2025. The procurement method followed the GPA guidelines and involved the submission of samples as a requirement, with a focus on non-negotiable terms and conditions. The project ID was CAV-ITT-PROJECT48729, highlighting a detailed scope for service vendors to participate.

This tender presented a valuable growth opportunity for businesses specialising in loyalty and reward schemes, particularly those capable of supplying versatile gift cards and vouchers usable both online and in stores. Suppliers with experience in managing large-scale reward programmes for regional or local authorities would have found this tender aligned with their service offerings. The engagement could have potentially opened doors for ongoing partnerships with the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership and other public sector entities, thereby enhancing suppliers' portfolios and business reach within the healthcare and public service domains.
