## Summary

The London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham has completed an open procurement process under the title "Travel Care Taxi Service" aiming to provide travel care and support services. The procurement was categorised under travel services with CPV code 63515000 and primarily focused on catering for children and young people with special educational needs, as well as vulnerable adults in Hammersmith and Fulham. The entire process reached the award stage, and contracts were signed on 7th August 2025. The procurement was structured into two lots: 'Regular Journeys' and 'Ad Hoc Journeys', with both lots experiencing cancellation in further proceedings but proceeded with awards being granted to a range of suppliers. This initiative is governed by EU policy CELEX directive 32014L0024, ensuring high compliance and transparency in procurement.

This contract offers significant opportunities for companies specialising in transportation services, particularly those equipped to handle custom travel needs for vulnerable individuals, including adapted vehicles for wheelchair access and travel care assistants. Businesses with a strong presence in the London region and capacity to deliver high-standard and reliable taxi services could potentially benefit from partnering with regional authorities like the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham. The open procedure for procurement supports broad participation, enhancing market competitiveness. Large businesses within the transport and care service sector, especially those experienced with framework agreements, are well-positioned for growth through such contracts.
