The Council requires a contractor to: Allow direct deliveries by the Council's Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs) for the tipping of the Contract Waste or a contractor working on behalf of the Council using articulated bulkers. To be able to process the Contract Waste using either windrow or aerated static pile composting. The main objectives of the Council are to: Increase the tonnage diversion from disposal while maximising reuse and recycling opportunities. Work with partners and contractors to increase tonnages to achieve the Council's and the Mayor of London's recycling targets. Primarily reduce waste in the first instance and carbon emissions in all aspects of this Tender as part of Lewisham Council declaring a climate emergency. Deliver a high quality service Realise Social Value benefits Demonstrate equality and diversity within the contract. 1.4 The contract will be between the successful Tenderer and the Council for the period of 3 years with the option to extend for up to a period of 2 years.

The Conditions of Contract to be used will be the Council's Conditions of Contract, a copy of which is included in the tender pack. The contract will be between the successful Tenderer and the Council for the period of 3 years with the option to extend for up to a period of 2 years.
