## Summary

Arts University Bournemouth (AUB) is planning a procurement process to establish a Minor Works Framework Agreement focused on building installation work. This procurement falls under the industry category of building installation (CPV 45300000) and is aimed at the Bournemouth, Poole, and Christchurch area (UKK24). Currently in the planning stage, a Market Engagement Event is scheduled to be held on Friday, 7th March 2025, with the formal tender expected to follow in the next 3 to 4 months. Interested businesses can register online and engage with AUB during this preliminary phase, with further communications set to be issued by early March 2025. The anticipated framework agreement will cover various minor works projects, each to be completed within a year and with a value under £500,000 (VAT inclusive).

This tender offers significant opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), defined as organisations with fewer than 250 employees and with financial thresholds as specified by the EU. AUB is especially keen to engage local businesses in the areas of building, mechanical, electrical, and maintenance trades. The framework aims to appoint 3 to 4 contractors, each capable of handling multiple lots of minor works, thus fostering business growth. The reserved contract for local SMEs ensures that smaller businesses in the Bournemouth, Poole, and Christchurch region will have a competitive edge, presenting an excellent opportunity for growth and long-term collaboration with Arts University Bournemouth.
