## Summary

The public procurement process titled "Achieving for Children Short Breaks 2025" was conducted by Achieving for Children, a public law body based in Twickenham, UK. This tender, classified under the industry category of Health and Social Work Services, aimed to provide short breaks services for disabled children and young people in Kingston and Richmond through various Lots and Sub-Lots including weekend, after-school, holiday clubs, and a buddy scheme. The procurement method used was an open procedure, following the Light Touch Regime of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015. Awards were made to suppliers such as Disability Challengers, EnhanceAble, and Richmond AID. The contracts have been awarded and signed on 21st July 2025.

This tender offers significant growth opportunities for businesses that specialise in providing social work and care services, especially those experienced with children with special educational needs and disabilities. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that can offer high-quality, flexible, and accessible services in local community centres or schools stand well-placed to compete. The procurement was divided into Lots, allowing for targeted bids and multiple opportunities for awarding contracts in different service areas. With a focus on quality and price, companies that can demonstrate value while ensuring a high standard of care and training will find competitive opportunities in this procurement. Businesses that are able to deliver innovative solutions in caregiving and meet the localised needs of the Kingston and Richmond community could particularly benefit from this engagement.
