## Summary

Suffolk County Council (SCC) is in the planning stages of a procurement process titled "Market Engagement for Supported Housing Development" under the industry category of real estate services. The project aims to partner with a registered provider of social housing to develop three units of single-occupancy accommodation with a staff hub in Ipswich, region UKH14. This development is designed to support adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. The procurement stage is currently planned with key dates including the future notice date on 24 January 2025. The total value of the project is estimated at £360,000, with initial and subsequent funding stages outlined for feasibility, planning, and development.

This tender presents significant opportunities for growth, particularly for registered social housing providers capable of managing the development and ongoing property and tenancy management. The project is set on SCC-owned land with a mix of grant funding and shared risk investment, making it an attractive proposition for businesses with experience in social housing and support services. Companies specialising in real estate services, particularly those with expertise in developing housing for individuals with higher support needs, would be well-suited to compete. Additionally, businesses that can navigate funding routes through Homes England and other sources will find this tender beneficial for expanding their portfolio and strengthening their service offerings.
