## Summary

STAR Procurement, acting as a buyer in collaboration with The Procurement Partnership Limited (TPPL), has set up a 48-month framework agreement for the supply of building materials and associated services across the United Kingdom. This agreement involves public sector organisations classifying as contracting authorities, including Local Authorities, NHS Bodies, Government Departments, and other public entities. The procurement process employed an open procedure and has transitioned from the tender stage to completion with awards made to multiple suppliers, such as Bradfords Building Supplies Limited and Travis Perkins Trading Company Limited. The contract was signed on 7th May 2025, with a significant financial commitment, highlighting a total value amounting to £400 million GBP.

This tender creates substantial opportunities for business growth, especially for enterprises operating in the construction and building materials sector. Contractors providing general building materials, plumbing, heating, electrical supplies, and tools are well-positioned to benefit from this agreement. The framework also supports innovation in inventory management and asset tracking solutions using cloud-based systems. Businesses focusing on sustainable practices and social value stand a promising chance to align with the procurement goals, allowing them to forge partnerships with various public sector bodies across the UK. With the agreement covering areas from kitchen fittings to roadstone supplies, SMEs and large enterprises alike can benefit by showcasing their capability to meet the complex and diverse needs of public sector contracting authorities.
