## Summary

The University of Southampton is initiating a tender process to engage a Student Housing Partner (SHP) for its Student Residences Project. This procurement focuses on the design, build, finance, and operation of approximately 760 new student rooms and the refurbishment of about 417 existing rooms, with the possibility of including an additional 400 beds. The procurement stage is currently active with a tender deadline on 3rd March 2025. The industry category for this project is services, specifically the development of residential real estate, and the project is located in the UKJ32 region. All communications and submissions will be conducted via the University's electronic tendering tool, In-Tend, and interested suppliers must register on the platform to access the procurement documentation.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the construction, finance, and facilities management sectors that have experience in large-scale residential projects. Companies specialising in design, development, and maintenance of student accommodation can greatly benefit from this project. Engaging in this competitive dialogue process allows organisations to potentially secure a long-term strategic partnership with the University, which can lead to further student residence projects in the future. The detailed selection criteria and tender requirements are available in the procurement documentation accessible through the University's In-Tend portal.
