## Summary

Powys County Council is in the planning stage for its "Housing Development Team Meet the Buyer Event," scheduled for Thursday, 13th March 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the Welshpool Integrated Family Centre, Oldford Close, Welshpool, SY21 7SX. This event is targeted at the building construction industry (CPV code 45210000), specifically inviting principal contractors experienced in housing schemes. The deadline for registration is Thursday, 6th March 2025 and firms interested can contact Powys County Council via email at affordable.housing@powys.gov.uk. This initiative aims to provide insight into upcoming housing development projects in North Powys, with highlighted schemes including diverse housing developments in Maes Y Esgob, Llanfyllin, The Firs, Trawscoed, and the Former Gungrog School site.

This Meet the Buyer event represents a significant opportunity for construction companies to engage directly with Powys County Council regarding their future procurement plans. It opens doors for businesses to understand the details and requirements of several upcoming housing projects, thus aiding in strategic preparation for forthcoming tenders. Ideal candidates for this event are principal contractors familiar with high-quality, energy-efficient housing construction who are capable of delivering projects that meet specific design and sustainability standards. Engaging with council officials during this event can provide valuable insights, helping businesses to align their capabilities and services with council expectations and procurement strategies.
