## Summary

Hertfordshire County Council has awarded a contract for the provision of Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs). This contract falls under the health services category and is aimed at offering place-based mental health and emotional wellbeing support in schools and colleges. The contract was awarded following the completion of an 8 working day standstill period on 20th February 2025. It will commence on 1st April 2025, running for three years with an option to extend for an additional 12 months. The estimated lifetime value of the contract is approximately £6,687,500. The previous provider, Mind in West Essex, will continue under this new contract, which was awarded through the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) without the application of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in mental health services, particularly those experienced in working with educational institutions. Companies providing workshops, assemblies, and targeted 1-1 or group mental health support would find this contract particularly suited to their services. Additionally, businesses will benefit from the financial stability of a multi-year contract with potential for extension, thereby supporting long-term business growth and development.

## Notice

The Mental Health Support Teams offer place-based mental health and emotional wellbeing support (in schools and colleges). This could be in the form of targeted support on a 1-1 or group basis, Also non-targeted support is offered via workshops, assemblies, in-class groups and events. This is an early intervention service aimed at supporting children and families with mild-moderate mental health needs.
