## Summary

The NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire Integrated Care Board is overseeing the procurement of Care Navigation Services, aimed at identifying and managing vulnerable patients, particularly those with moderate and severe frailty as well as long-term conditions. Under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR) regulations, the competitive tender process has concluded with Nottingham CityCare Partnership CIC being awarded the contract. The services are set to commence from 1st December 2025 and will run until 30th November 2028 with an approximate lifetime value of £4,501,923. This procurement falls under the "Health services" category and will enable the provision of a multidisciplinary care approach across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire. The procurement stages progressed from planning in February 2025 to the award decision by the Strategic Planning and Integration Committee in July 2025, with contract confirmation formally announced in February 2026.

This tender represents a significant opportunity for providers in the health services sector to expand their outreach and contribute to integrated care approaches, particularly within primary care networks. It encourages collaboration between various healthcare segments, including primary, secondary, and social care providers, as well as the voluntary sector. Businesses with expertise in service integration, collaboration, and a focus on improving access and reducing health inequalities would be well-positioned to compete for similar contracts in the future. By participating in this procurement process, businesses can enhance their innovation capabilities and service sustainability, thereby fostering long-term growth and expanding their portfolios in health service delivery. The NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire ICB's procurement method utilised an open procedure, emphasising quality, social value, and cost-effectiveness, which indicates a robust opportunity for healthcare providers to establish themselves as strategic partners in regional healthcare services.
