This service enables carers to take a well-earned break from their responsibilities allowing them free time for social activities, shopping, family commitments etc. They are also able to pay attention to their own health needs by being free to attend appointments as necessary enabling both physical and emotional needs are being met. To support informal carers of people with physical disabilities by providing a regular, reliable, respite service within their own homes. To promote the rights and needs of carers enabling them to access services in regard to health and wellbeing. To enhance the quality of life and improve health and wellbeing of both carer and cared-for. To signpost and refer to appropriate services in order to help people remain safe in their own homes and to reduce social isolation. To provide appropriate information empowering carers to make their own choices The ICB intends to award this contract under Direct Award Process C. The approximate lifetime value of the contract is PS76,245.
