## Summary

Bolton Council is at the final stage of awarding a contract for the Community Infection Prevention and Control (CIPC) Service. The procurement process is categorized under advisory services provided by nurses, specifically in the healthcare services industry. The contract connects closely with partners such as the UK Health Security Agency and is of crucial importance for high standards of infection prevention in community settings, including care homes and educational institutions. The CIPC service will span from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2030, with a contract value of £1,088,440 and has been awarded through a Provider Selection Regime (PSR), specifically without the requirement for a call for competition.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses that specialize in healthcare provision, particularly those capable of delivering infection control services, advice, and training. Companies that can demonstrate high-quality service, innovation, value, and collaborative efforts to reduce health inequalities would be well-suited for this contract. The procurement method favours businesses that can integrate seamlessly with existing health and social care systems, possess a strong local presence, and have a track record of engagement in outbreak management within community settings. These roles offer strategic growth as businesses can leverage established relationships with local authorities and extensive expertise in infection control, thereby expanding their influence and operations within the healthcare sector.
