The project falls under the services category, specifically "Installation services of electrical equipment" (CPV Code: 51110000), and aims to support the transition to a low carbon economy. The Council is providing £2,853,000 in capital funding through the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure (LEVI) scheme, with an estimated total procurement value of £7,000,000. The procurement process, which follows the Competitive Dialogue process under the Concession Contracts Regulations 2016, requires submissions by midday on Monday, 17th March 2025. The Agreement will run from October 2025 for 15 years, with an additional 12 months extension.

This tender provides significant opportunities for businesses specialising in electric vehicle infrastructure and related services. Companies with a proven track record of supplying and operating charge points across the UK, and who can deliver high customer satisfaction, will be well-suited to compete. The tender allows the winning service provider to operate and maintain the charging network with minimal financial risk, supported by substantial Council funding. This is an excellent opportunity for businesses to expand their operations within a growing market for electric vehicle infrastructure, leveraging the extensive financial and structural support from West Northamptonshire Council.
