## Summary

The James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has completed the contracting process for the in-sourcing provision of a GP Front Door Service in its Emergency Department, classified under hospital and related services. The procurement, following the Health Care Services Provider Selection Regime Regulations 2023, was managed through a direct award process without a preceding call for competition. This contract, valued at £946,464, runs from 1st April 2025 to 31st March 2026. Serving the region of Gorleston, Norfolk (UKH15), the contract aims to alleviate pressure on the Emergency Department by redirecting patients to GP-led Primary Care Services. Key stakeholders are expected to engage with the service from its onset, leveraging opportunities for timely healthcare delivery.

This contract provides significant business growth opportunities, particularly for healthcare service providers specialising in emergency and primary care integration. It suits firms capable of managing clinical operations at high-performance standards, given its focus on streamlining patient pathways and reducing Emergency Department congestion. Companies with expertise in establishing independent yet collaborative interfaces between primary and secondary care will find this contract beneficial for expanding their service reach and enhancing healthcare outcomes within the NHS framework.
