## Summary

The NHS Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Integrated Care Board has completed an urgent procurement process to award a contract to the University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust. The awarded contract, titled "BNSSG_UHBW_CYP_Eating_Disorder_Monitoring_2024-2025_A - Urgent Award," is categorised under outpatient care services (CPV: 85112200) and addresses the need for physical health monitoring for children and young people with eating disorders. The service will be provided on an interim basis for 12 months starting from 26 January 2025 in the South West England region (UKK1). This procurement was necessary due to the urgent circumstances of provider withdrawal and the high importance of continuous care for this vulnerable patient group.

This tender provides significant business growth opportunities for healthcare providers, especially those specialising in outpatient care and youth health services. Businesses that have expertise in paediatric care, specifically in managing eating disorders, are well-suited to compete in this sector. The urgent nature of the procurement and the assurance of a 12-month contract can provide immediate and tangible opportunities for organisations looking to expand their healthcare services and secure government contracts aimed at supporting vulnerable populations in a critical health area.
