## Summary

The North Yorkshire Council has awarded a contract for the provision of a Public Health Medicines Optimisation Advisory Service (PHMOAS) to the North of England Commissioning Support Unit. This contract, under the Provider Selection Regime (PSR), aims to ensure the safe and effective use of medicines across the council's services. The contract, which starts on 1st March 2025, spans three years with an option to extend for an additional two years, making the maximum term five years. The total contract value is £150,000, with £30,000 allocated annually. This procurement falls under the Direct Award Process C and is outside the scope of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

This tender can provide substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in pharmacy services, particularly those with expertise in medicine optimisation and advisory roles. The primary focus on quality, innovation, and service sustainability highlights the need for providers who can offer high standards of medicines advice and guidance. Businesses that can demonstrate integration, collaboration, and social value in their service delivery are well-positioned to compete. The North Yorkshire Council, located in Northallerton, invites written representations by 28th February 2025, providing a pathway for businesses to engage actively in the procurement process and potentially secure future contracts of a similar nature.
