## Summary

The University of Edinburgh has awarded a contract to Mòr Transport Development Place for the role of Transport Consultant for the Edinburgh BioQuarter project. The procurement, classified under transport systems consultancy services, aims to fulfil the University's ongoing requirements for transport planning and consultancy. This contract, valued at £392,056, commenced on 10th February 2025 and will span over three years without the option for extension. The procurement method utilised was a limited award procedure without prior publication of a call for competition, justified by the technical necessity for a familiar and technically knowledgeable consultant for the project's complexity. The site-specific project is located in region UKM75, Edinburgh.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in transport consultancy and related services. Firms with expertise in travel planning, surveys, design, and coordination within university campus projects would be well-suited to compete in similar future tenders. The phased approach to the project, encompassing travel plan coordination, design stages, and survey implementation, suggests that consulting firms with a comprehensive understanding of integrated transport solutions and sustainable travel initiatives could leverage such projects to expand their business portfolios and establish a strong presence in the educational sector's infrastructure projects.
