## Summary

The Department of Justice has initiated a tender for the provision of legal advisory and representation services for the Parole Commissioners Northern Ireland (PCNI). The procurement process is currently in the tender stage, with an end date for submissions set for 20th March 2025, at 15:00 GMT. The estimated contract value is £550,000 over a fixed period of five years. This open procedure seeks services under the classification of Legal advisory and representation services, with the primary location specified as the United Kingdom (UKN0). This contract will include judicial review proceedings, advice on commissioners' powers and duties, and representation at various legal hearings.

This tender offers significant opportunities for law firms specialising in public law and judicial reviews, particularly those with expertise in the legislation governing life sentences and the criminal justice system in Northern Ireland. Given the comprehensive nature of the required services, including court representations and legal consultations, firms with a strong track record in these areas will be well-suited to compete. Winning this tender could enhance a business's portfolio in the public sector, strengthen its reputation, and provide a stable revenue stream over the contract's five-year duration.
