## Summary

The Department of Agriculture Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) in Belfast is undertaking a public procurement process for the servicing and maintenance of plant machinery from 2025 to 2029. This project falls under the industry category of repair and maintenance services, with the contract being divided into six individual lots spanning various council areas in Northern Ireland. The procurement process utilised an open procedure, and the tender stage closed on 28 March 2025. Contracts were successfully awarded on 20 May 2025, at which point agreements were signed for each lot. Notable dates include the tender submission deadline and the contract signing date.

This procurement offers significant business growth opportunities, particularly for companies specialising in repair and maintenance services of motor vehicles and associated equipment. With no restrictions on the number of lots a contractor can bid for, businesses with robust operational capacities can secure multiple contracts, thereby expanding their service reach across Northern Ireland. Suitable contenders would include SMEs and larger firms with proven expertise in maintaining a fleet of machinery within the specified regions. Participation in this tender not only provides revenue growth but also enhances business credibility through association with publicly funded projects.
