## Summary

The PEACEPLUS Programme Minority Communities Project, commissioned by Mid Ulster District Council, focuses on social work and related services. Located in the UK region, particularly targeting the Mid Ulster area, this procurement process aims to build capacity and resilience among minority communities. The tender stage took place earlier in the year, with submissions closing on 25th March 2025, and the contract was awarded by 20th June 2025. It operates under an open procedure, providing opportunities for various businesses to engage in this critical service sector. The initiative is supported by the European Union, emphasizing comprehensive engagement with up to 500 individuals over three years to enhance cultural integration and diversity awareness.

This tender provides significant opportunities for enterprises specialising in social services and community integration. Businesses skilled in delivering diversity campaigns, cultural events, and training programmes tailored to minority groups are well-suited to benefit from this contract. The need to engage and support diverse communities translates to growth opportunities for firms adept in co-designing programmes with local stakeholders. Additionally, the association with a substantial funding project under PEACEPLUS increases the scope for future collaborations in related community-driven projects. Small to medium enterprises (SMEs), like First Steps Women's Centre that has been actively involved, are vital partners in achieving the overarching goal of fostering a cohesive and inclusive society.
