## Summary

Worcestershire County Council, acting on behalf of the Fourth Midlands Connect EV Infrastructure Consortium, has announced an award for the procurement of electric vehicle charging infrastructure under the Local Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Scheme (LEVI). This procurement, classified under energy and related services, involves a concession agreement aimed at enhancing on-street Electric Vehicle Chargepoints across areas under the consortium's jurisdiction, including Leicestershire, Rutland, Warwickshire, and Worcestershire. The procurement process has reached the award stage, with the active contract announcement made on 7th May 2026. The industry category is services, and the procurement method used is the open procedure, providing transparency and fairness. Contracts with an estimated value of over 590 million GBP have been awarded to Connected Kerb Limited and EZO Charging Limited, focusing on establishing a network of 7kW to 50kW charge points across specified regions in the UK.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for companies specialising in energy services, infrastructure development, and electric vehicle technologies. Small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in these sectors have a chance to engage in providing innovative and efficient solutions for electric vehicle charging networks. Additionally, businesses equipped to collaborate on long-term projects aligned with the charging infrastructure's evolution could benefit substantially. The strategic expansion and installation initiatives are geared towards meeting increasing demand and supporting sustainable energy solutions, thus creating a promising gateway for market entrants and existing players to expand their service offerings and drive growth.
