We are seeking bids from experienced patent attorney firms, capable of dealing with intellectual property matters relating to research and development activity across four different specialist areas: life sciences, physics and engineering, chemistry and materials science, computer science and IT.The tender is therefore divided into four separate Lots to enable specialist firms to bid as appropriate: Lot 1 - Life Sciences; Lot 2 - Physics and Engineering; Lot 3 - Chemistry and Materials Science; Lot 4 - Computer Science and IT. Key areas are biotechnology (including synthetic biology, microbiology, plant science and agritech), pharmaceuticals and medical devices/technologies. Options: Initial term of the contract is 3 years with the option to extend for two further years in single year increments. Option to vary the contract to include other specialisms/value-add services that may be offered by the successful tenderer. Renewal: Initial term of the contract is 3 years with the option to extend for two further years in single year increments. Lot 2 - Physics and Engineering This Lot covers the physics and engineering specialism only. Key areas include: Telecommunications, Quantum technologies, Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Nuclear engineering and technologies, Creative and digital technologies, Equipment designs. Options: Initial term of the contract is 3 years with the option to extend for two further years in single year increments.
